Continuous Watch

Automatically collect information with Continuous Watch

You can activate continuous watch to collect various data types on your Entities in the Ontic platform. Enabling and utilizing these capabilities will save you and your team valuable time. Instead of manually running multiple searches, you will only need to verify or reject data automatically pulled into the platform for you.

You will see which of the four continuous watch capabilities are active from illuminated icons on an Entity’s card and under the Watch section of the Intelligence Lifecycle.

Criminal Activity

What it is:

Criminal Activity continuous watch pulls data from discovered public records on an Entity.  These records can include information and documents on arrests, incarceration release, criminal cases, civil cases, traffic citations, liens, bankruptcy filings and more.

How to activate it:

  1. Enter a full name and date of birth in the Entity’s details.

  2. Once you have entered these two data points, Criminal Activity continuous watch will be automatically enabled.

Identity Search

What it is:

Identity Search is a core feature of the Ontic platform helping you discover and resolve identity information to establish a baseline of intelligence for your Entities.

How to activate it:

  1. Run an Identity Search with various known data points using Ontic’s research tools.

  2. Review the search results. Select specific data points pulled from the search that you believe to be tied to your Entity.  Click Apply to include those data points in the Entity’s detail

  3. Finally select Pair with Entity

  4. Once you have data paired with an Entity, Identity continuous watch will automatically be enabled.

Vehicle Sighting

What it is:

Vehicle Sighting is sourced from Entity vehicle data input and License Plate Recognition to give you real-time geographical information of vehicles associated with your Entities.

How to activate it:

  1. Enter a full license plate number and state into the vehicle section of the Entity’s details.

  2. If known, enter the vehicle’s VIN. If unknown, Ontic’s data sources can attempt to procure a VIN for you.

  3. Once the license plate, state and VIN are known, continuous watch for vehicle sighting will be automatically enabled.

Note: If the continuous watch light on the Entity card does not illuminate, a VIN could not be found or an incorrect  license plate or state was entered.

Adverse Media

What it is:

Adverse Media Search scours OSINT and the deep web for negative signals related to your Entity. Adverse Media fills the gaps of data captured from credentials databases, such as public records.

How to activate it:

  • Run an Adverse Media Search with various known data points using Ontic’s research tools.

  • Review the search results. Select specific data points pulled from the search that you believe to be tied to your Entity.  Click Apply to include those data points in the Entity’s detail

  • Finally select Pair with Entity

  • Once you have data paired with an Entity, Adverse Media continuous watch will automatically be enabled.
