How does this integration work?

Envoy will send a record of every visitor who either signs in on the iPad or is pre-registered into Ontic. Each data point input will be automatically cross-referenced with the entities in Ontic to identify potential matches.

You can configure Envoy to check for certain identity data points. If there is a match with a known entity then the information will apply to the entity in their recent activities and update the entity timeline. The information will also be sent to the Envoy intelligence feed.

Note: If a User with an Admin account configures the workflow and their account is subsequently deleted, it will break the workflow.  When possible, please configure the integration with an account that will not be deleted and will retain admin privileges.

You’ll need to have the necessary permissions in Ontic to complete this integration.

Either ask an admin or reach out to your client success manager for guidance before completing these steps:

How to configure the integration

Install the Ontic app in Envoy for each of your locations:

  1. Go to Integrations > All integrations.

  1. Locate Ontic Technologies and select Install

  1. Select Authorize to allow the Ontic Application to have access to your Envoy location

  1. Enter your Ontic domain (example ClientName.Ontic.ai). If you want to enable Manual Verification for any entity matches check the box below the Ontic Domain field. This will give you the ability to approve matches before the login process is disrupted. Then select “Save Configuration”.

  1. Repeat steps 1-4 for each of your locations in Envoy

In your Ontic Application:

  1. In the App Directory Locate Envoy and select Manage Companies

  1. Once you select Add New Company you will be prompted to authenticate your Envoy instance by logging into Envoy

  1. Once your account is authenticated you will be able to configure your "Flows" within Ontic

  1. If you choose to enable Manual Verification, click on the Settings icon. From here you can choose to enable it for any entity that matches in Ontic or for only entities that meet a certain criteria (ex: Only entities that are on BOLO). To set it to only alert you on entities on BOLO, set the rule to say If: On Lookout is equal to Yes. You will still be able to see matches for entities not on BOLO, but it will not disrupt the check-in process.

  1. Verify the connection is working properly by testing a visitor from your Envoy kiosk or admin portal.

  1. To map your Envoy fields to your Ontic fields, click the ellipses on the right hand side of the Flow you are wanting to configure. Then select Configure Flow from the menu that appears.

  1. Use the window that appears to map your Envoy fields to complete the mapping.

  1. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each of your locations
